GT Motor Cars is a boutique collector car specialty shop. We specialize in rare collector cars, mostly halo cars from the 80's-2000's. We specialize in Ferrari Super Cars. We offer a wide range of services from sales, acquisitions, storage, portfolio collection management and advisory. We perform full concours preparation and representation for clients. We race cars, J.R. has raced professionally in the Daytona 24-hours as well as many endurance series as well as Ferrari’s Competizioni GT series.
Our specialty is our attention to detail and perfection in every facet of the car; each and every car gets prepared as though it's headed to a concours event.
GT Motor Cars was founded in 2014 by J.R. Amantea. J.R. has a lifelong passion for car collecting; he was the youngest ever N.C.R.S Corvette judge at seven years old and Bloomington Gold Corvette Judge at thirteen years of age. The late Chip Miller who co-founded the Carlisle Events Collector Car shows, dubbed, J.R., “The Corvette Kid.” J.R. has restored over fifty Corvettes and has earned over fifty NCRS Top Flight Awards and over thirty Bloomington Gold Awards. J.R. and his parents would travel the country attending Corvette shows getting their own cars judged and judging cars. J.R. developed a passion for racing after attending the Skip Barber Racing School and the rest was history. J.R. attended college receiving a BSC in Business Administration with a minor in Finance, he worked on wall street for several years in Investment Banking and Corporate Finance. After taking all three levels of his CFA, he decided to start a specialty collector car business.
Our team has extensive much experience and success with showing cars at events such as the Cavallino Classic, Amelia Island, Quail Motorsports Gathering, Pebble Beach and more. We have earned 23 Cavallino Platinum’s to date, several specialty one-off awards, Best in Class at the Quail and class awards at Amelia Island.
