No super car collection is complete without an F40. The F40 was Enzo Ferrari's last model that he commissioned.

The F40 is a car that needs no introduction. Produced from 1987-1992. It was the final car than Enzo himself was personally involved with before his passing. It was built to mark the 40th anniversary of Ferrari producing road cars. It was an evolution of the 288GTO Evolution. It was as close to a road going race car that you could produce. The F40 is one of the most iconic designs ever penned and has stood the test of time by even wooing young enthusiasts today just as it did 30 years ago.

This example is one of the 213 U.S. examples and has just 3,782 miles. It is a 3-owner example that was delivered new through Foreign Cars Italia September 12, 1991 to known Ferrari Collector, Harold “Richard” Sherrill. Mr. Sherrill kept this car for 22 years until passing to the second owner Michael Grondahl from Planet Fitness. Grondahl owned the car for five years before being acquired by the 3rd owner who was a noted Ferrari Collector.

Upon our acquisition, we had a full major service performed at Ferrari, removed the control arms, replaced all of the bushings, replated the suspension components, changed all of the fluids, recovered the seats with the original material, cryogenically cleaned the car and did a multi-restorative paint correction.

This car is complete with its' original books, tool kit, luggage, car cover. The best part is the car has all of its original paperwork, the shipping invoice from Ferrari North America to Foreign Cars Italia, the original sales contract, the original check and odometer disclosures that showed the 512BBi that Mr. Sherrill traded in. He paid a whopping $557,028.74 for this car and received a $253,514.37 credit. This car has every single service record back to day one and never missed a service interval throughout its life. We spent countless hours prepping this car and even sourcing original tires in preparation for the 2023 Cavallino Classic.

This car earned top honors this past weekend at the Cavallino Classic walking away with a Cavallino Platinum.
